Director Communications & Media

After 28 years in print and international broadcast journalism, Bob de la Lande founded eonmedia

believing domestic and global companies needed a better way to manage their crisis communications and threats to brand and reputation.

He has provided strategic counsel to senior Ministers and Departments in the Australian and New South Wales Governments and worked with Corporations to reconfigure their approach to crisis and media management, more recently in cyber security.

Bob was an award-winning journalist working in broadcast media for Channel’s 9, 7, Foxsports, NBC and CBS before turning his focus to Strategic Communications and Media Management.

Professor Stephen McCombie

PHD Computer Science, MIT, GradDipComp, BA Political Science

Stephen has just been appointed Professor Applied Sciences at Maritime IT Security (MITS) at NHL Stenden University in The Netherlands. A brilliant practitioner in cyber-crime, digital forensics, cyber threat intelligence, cyber conflict, cyber espionage and information warfare, he is now heading up research into Maritime digital and IT security that is expected to better prepare the global, ports and shipping industries for major cyber threats that could otherwise cripple world trade.

Stephen has partnered eonmedia on several major international cyber workshops, including RSA (the World’s largest cyber security showcase in San Francisco) and the Republic of Fiji (2nd Fiji-Australia Cyber Security Dialogue with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Macquarie University).

“We passionately believe cyber workshops must be a critical part of any strategic crisis management plan to ensure weaknesses and strengths are clearly identified. Regular workshop audits give you a clear view of your crisis capabilities and the specific actions that are essential to prevent or reduce the impact of a crisis on businesses and stakeholders.
